This Piece features a pair of Certified Trapiche Colombian Emeralds weighing 5.62ct + 5.74ct in a “fancy” cabochon cut.
Trapiche emerald is a rare gemstone emerald characterized by a six-pointed radial pattern of ray-like spokes.
The name comes from the Spanish “Trapiche,” a sugar mill because the pattern resembles the spokes of a grinding wheel.
Inspired by the Art Deco Era, these earrings present a pair of these rare Colombian beauties. Held in suspension against a wall of hand-carved enamel and crowned by a “diamond burst” of pear-shaped diamonds opposite a shield step-cut diamond.
